DECserver 716 with flash is a high density, high performance asynchronous device server that connects your serial devices to an Ethernet network.
The DECserver 716 provides the in-band and out-of-band access you need to confidently connect to, monitor, and control any serial device in your network.
The DECserver has AUI and 10BaseT Ethernet connectors, supporting up to eight sessions per port and speeds up to 115.2 Kb/s per port. An external FLASH socket for the customer installable Flash Card supports a self-booting operation. The servers run DNAS (DECserver Network Access Software), which delivers multi-protocol support for TCP/IP, IPX, and AppleTalk networks. The units are designed for tabletop or rack-mount configuration.
Access, configure, monitor, manage, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair networks and systems wherever you are, whenever you want.
Gain access to attached serial devices through in-band management from anywhere on the LAN/WAN.
Connect to serial network devices even if the network is down with out-of-band management.
Reduce response time to events: minimize downtime; increase productivity.
Support simultaneous remote access connections.
Provide multiple user access to a single port.
Manage your serial device network with embedded DNAS (DECserver Network Access Software).
